Pretty card made with Tea Shoppe stamp set!

The Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini catalogue has some amazing products and the Tea Shoppe stamp set (#125547) is one of them! Here is a pretty card that combines the Tea Shoppe set with the Bordering on Romance stamp set (#125482)!

 

With this card, I stamped the flowers from the Bordering on Romance stamp set and colored them with Stampin' Write markers. The colors I used are: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and So Saffron. Then I cut them out. I stamped the tea cup from the Tea Shoppe stamp set in Rose Red ink and cut that piece out. Next I stamped the Louisa May Alcott quote and punched it out with the Extra Large tag punch (#119866)! Isn't it wonderful when Stampin' Up! makes stamps that can be punched out with our matching punches! I used a sponge dauber and Sahara Sand ink pad to rub a bit of ink on the edges of the punched tag to give it an "aged" look.

The background pattern paper is from the Paisley Petals Designer Series paper (#122367) and I layered it with Certainly Celery and Whisper White paper layers.

I positioned the tea cup on the right side of the card because I decided to hang the punched tag from the handle of the tea cup with linen thread! The tea cup is slightly raised with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) so that I could position the cut flowers underneath the cup to make them appear as if they are in the cup!

I always add my Dazzling Diamonds glitter (#102023) at the end of the project so that the glitter can dry properly on the paper without getting smudged. In this case, I used the 2-way Glue Pen (#100425) on the tea cup flowers as well as on the flowers that are positioned behind. I used Stampin' Up!'s Basic Pearls (#119247) as the flower centers! The brads are from the Square Rhinestone Brads collection (#109112).

Lastly, I added a bit of Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon (#122966) and Crumb Cake Seam Binding (#122332) on the tea cup handle!

For your Valentine!

Oh my! Valentine's Day is coming soon!

Pinks... Reds... and lots of hearts! How fun! I remember when I was a child making Valentine's for my friends and sharing "heart candy" at school! That's why I love Stampin' Up! and cardmaking! I get to continue making my own Valentine's now that I'm grown! 

Take a look at this pretty Valentine that I created using the brand new matching Edgelits and Adorning Accents embossing folders from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalogue!

 

Oh my! These were so fun to play with!!! Notice the lovely bottom edge on this card. Can you believe that is very easy to make?! It is with the new Adorning Accents Edgelits (#125595, $11.95) and Adorning Accents Embossing Folders (#125601, $10.95)!

This is how I used these products:

First, I used Pink Pirouette paper and I lined up my swag along the bottom edge of my card. I ran this through my BigShot. This is the "sandwich" I used:

• 1. Standard cutting pad
• 2. Embossing folder with material inside
• 3: Standard cutting pad
• 4. Multipurpose Platform on Tab 1

Then, I lined up my Edgelit die with the cutting edge on the bottom part of the embossed area. I ran this through the BigShot again using this "sandwich": 

• 1. Standard cutting pad
• 2. Edgelit with material (I recommend using dotto or temporary adhesive to hold the die in place while cutting)
• 3: Standard cutting pad
• 4. Multipurpose Platform no tabs

Back to my lovely pink and brown Valentine card...if you'll notice, I added an additional white layer under edge. I simply cut an additional edge in Whisper White cardstock and adhered it under the pink front layer.

The mini raised heart pattern in the Chocolate Chip cardstock was made with the Embossing folder that is included in the Adorning Accents package. I brayered just a touch of white ink onto them to make them "pop". I also used a thin strip of Wild Wasabi above the Chocolate Chip cardstock to accent the Wild Wasabi marker coloring I did in the vine around the heart.

I also used the following punches in this card: Full Heart (#119883, $22.95), Pinking Hearts Border (#117649, $20.95), Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack flower (#118309, $21.95), Boho Blossoms punch (#119858, $22.95).

Don't you just love the layered heart? That heart is from the Stampin' Up! stamp set called Valentine Love (#122697, $17.95). Included in this set are the following: Cupid, row of Hearts, Heart with vine, "Happy Valentine's Day" greeting and "Love Always" greeting.

Tea stain technique is perfect to warm a winter friendship!

I love tea and coffee, especially at this time of year! Here is a card I made using the tea stain technique!

How to do the tea stain technique:

I warmed some tea with a tea bag and when the tea bag was wet, I simply wiped the tea bag over Very Vanilla cardstock to create a nice rich warm tone. I let the tea bag create varied tones all over the cardstock so that the tones are darker in some areas and not so dark in others. Then I used my Heat Tool (#100005, $38.95) to dry the cardstock!

The mug of warm brew on the tag is from the Stampin' Up! Morning Cup stamp set (#120489, $20.95). I thought I'd carry over the heart theme in the mug image by adding a few layered hearts from the Stampin' Up! I {Heart} Hearts stamp set (#118571, $22.95). 

I wasn't really thinking about making a Valentine card... just a card for a friend, but this card actually could be a Valentine! The card base is Very Vanilla with a layer of Chocolate Chip cardstock sandwiched between the base and the piece of Well Worn Designer Series Paper (#122359, $13.50).

After the tea stained cardstock was dry, I tore the bottom edge and layered it underneath to give the card depth. I used the Mat Pack (#105826, $12.95) to create "faux stitching" by poking holes and connecting the holes with a marker. 

The hearts are Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, and Cherry Cobbler. I added glitter to the large Early Espresso heart.

I used the Extra-Large Tag punch (#119866, $22.95) to make the tag. And the tag is embellished with Crumb Cake Seam binding (#122332, $9.50) and Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine (#123125, $3.95)

As you can see in the image below, the hearts and tag are raised using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430, $5.25).

Bright and blissful card for the new year!

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Tonight I have a bright and blissful creation to share with you! I used cheerful colors to brighten up this winter's night! Here we have Calypso Coral, Pacific Point, and Pear Pizzazz! 

I had lots of fun combining vintage images along with bright colors! I used the awesome Stampin' Up! stamp set called Notably Ornate (#120561 $21.95). I stamped the large flourish note image in Pacific Point and the "Just Because" greeting in Calypso Coral. I decided I wanted an aged edge on the flourish note and therefore I got out my Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand ink and sponged some of those colors along the edges of the flourish. If you notice, I adhered this image to a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock and cut around it just to give it a nice edge.

I stamped the bird image with Pacific Point ink onto Pacific Point paper and cut it out. I also punched a bunch of flowers and leaves out with the Boho Blossoms punch (#119858 $22.95). The flowers and the bird are adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I used the Modern Label punch (#119849 $22.95) to punch out the "Just Because" greeting and I cut the piece layered under it with the BigShot and the Punch Windows Movers & Shapers die (#115953 $36.95). I love how Stampin' Up! makes stamps that fit nicely in their punches! Doesn't this lovely greeting fit perfect when punched out?

Do you see the shimmery floral layer in silver? I am tickled pink to have played with my Silver Foil Smooch Spritz (#118771 $6.25)!!! I love how it gives my embossed layer of cardstock a metallic, aged look! First I ran a piece of Blissful Blue cardstock through my BigShot with the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#115964, $9.95). Then I simply sprayed it with the Smooch Spritz! How easy! It reminds me of embossed metal!

I added a bow made with Whisper White taffeta ribbon (#109070 $6.95) and some pearls (#119247 $6.50) to the centers of my flowers!

Pines and Poinsettias for Christmas!

Are you ready for Christmas!! I hope you've already done your Stampin' Up! shopping, but if you haven't, there is still time!!! Here is a lovely card I made that shows off how much fun you can have with layers and a Big Shot diecut machine (#113439)! Get a Big Shot for Christmas this year! Treat yourself to some Diecut fun all year! It is a gift that keeps on giving all year round! I used the beautiful Pines and Poinsettias stamp set (#123764) for this card!

The Poinsettia and rose stamp is cut out by hand and layered on a Very Vanilla punched Decorative Label (#120907) and then layered on a Real Red Top Note Diecut (#113463)made with the Big Shot! I also stamped the "Christmas" banner stamp and cut that out as well!

I used a Cherry Cobbler and white wide piece of ribbon (#125056) under the Top Note diecut. Notice the layered scallops? I made those with the Tasteful Trim die (#120893) and Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper (#124004).

The stripes at the bottom were made... yes, you guessed it, with the Big Shot, too! I used the lovely Pick a Pattern Festive Finishes Letterpress Plate (#124097) to make those pretty stripes! I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter (#102023) to the large stripes with the Two-Way glue pen (#100425), which happens to be the best glitter adhesive ever invented! I added Champagne Glass Glitter (#120997)to the flower centers as well! Christmas is a time to sparkle and shine!

Joy at Christmas!

Christmas is such a joyful time of year! It is also a time of year to celebrate with creativity! That's why I think the Holiday Mini Catalogue of Stampin' Up! is perfect to help you with those beautiful holiday gifts!

This is a card I made with Designer Series Paper and embellishments from the mini catalogue! I love using patterns in my creations, and this card has several!

I used the "Joy at Christmas" rubber stamp from the Perfect Punches (#120516) stamp set which is on sale right now at 40% off during the Online Extravaganza which is going on until November 30th!! Get it on sale now!

In the card above, I used the gingham paper from the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper (#124002) and also the glitter polka dot paper from the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper (#124004). The scallop layers under the stamped "Joy at Christmas" greeting were made by punching two Garden Green flowers from the Fancy Flower Punch (#118073) and positioning them on top of each other to make the petals appear to look like scallops!

        

I love using embellishments and I had fun adding them to this card! I used a Cherry Cobbler and white wide piece of ribbon (#125056), a Real Red Glimmer Brad (#121006), Red Button (#125636), Metal Edge Tag (#118763), and a cardstock heart that I punched with the Small Heart punch (#117193)!

A Colorful Thank You!

Sometimes a friend does something so nice for us that a beautiful "Thank You" card is how we can express our gratitude for a thoughtful and caring act of kindness! Here is a card I made to express that feeling!

All of the floral elements on this card are from the Paisley Petals (#122367) Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper! Yes! The same set of paper I used in the last project I posted. Isn't is great that the same package of Designer Series Paper can be used to achieve many different styles! This is one of my all time favorite papers!

With this card, I simply cut out a piece of Bravo Burgundy and Very Vanilla cardstocks and cut a triangle bit out of one side and layered them. Then I stamped the "Thanks" image on a piece of vanilla cardstock and cut it out using the 1 3/4 Inch Circle Punch (#119850) Then I layered it on a punched 2 3/8 scallop circle punch (#118874) piece.

Then I stamped the Thanks stamp a second time but I only inked the word "Thanks" with an Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker. I punched the word out with the Modern Label Punch (#119849). The next step requires using the wonderful Big Shot!!! I used the Modern Label Punch from the Punch Windows Movers & Shapers Die (#115953) to cut a piece of Bravo Burgundy cardstock that I could layer under the "Thanks" greeting piece! I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates punches with Big Shot dies to make it easy for us to achieve fantastic results!!

After adding a few ribbons and Square Rhinestone brads, all that was left was adding some glitter! I used Two-Way Glue Pen (#100425) to "draw" an adhesive line on the elements where I'd like the glitter to stick. Then I dumped on some Dazzling Diamonds glitter (#102023) and voila! sparkle!

Studio Sketches in Burgundy, Pear and Mustard!

At this time of year, I love using rich color combinations in my card creations! Bravo Burgundy, Pear Pizzazz and More Mustard are the colors I used on this lovely Thinking of You card! I used the beautiful Stampin' Up! "Studio Sketches" (#116974) stamp set for the focal point and added paper lace elements as well!

If you'll notice, the lovely background is made from the Paisley Petals (#122367) Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. I used my Bravo Burgundy ink pad to add some distressing around the outer edges to echo the sketch pattern in the water jug and pears in the main image!

The paper lace on this card was so easy to make! I used the Lace Ribbon Border Punch (#122362) by Stampin' Up! and More Mustard cardstock. I layered it on top of a piece of Bravo Burgundy cardstock and under that, is a layer of Pear Pizzazz cardstock with a border made from the Eyelet Border Punch (#119853). Lastly, I added a layer of Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon! Pretty, don't you think?

I'm sure you are wondering how I made the frame around the main image. For the frame, I used the Designer Frames Embossing Folder (#123130) and my Big Shot! This frame was easy to cut out by hand. Then I layered the main image onto it with a piece of More Mustard cardstock in between! In the Designer Frames Embossing Folders Set you also receive and oval frame with a dotted border.

The Stampin' Up! stamp set called "Thoughts & Prayers" (#113252) provided the "Thinking of You" greeting.

Upcycled Halloween treat!

Do you like "upcycling"? To "upcycle" is to take something that normally would be thrown away and give it a new use! Take a look at how the Stampin' Up! Blender Pen packaging can be made into an adorable Halloween treat box! Two Mini KitKat chocolate bars, which you can purchase this time of the year for Trick-or-Treaters will fit perfectly inside Stampin' Up!'s Blender Pen package! So don't throw away that Blender Pen packaging!!

I used the Well Worn Designer Series Paper (#122359) to make the band around the Blender Pen (#102845) package. This is patterned paper is in the same package as the pattern I used on the wedding card I shared in my previous post! This paper is versatile and suitable for all fall projects. I added Black grosgrain ribbon and a bow. Then I made a pretty layered flower using three punches: 1 1/4 Circle punch (#119861), Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (#122464),  and Boho Blossoms punch (#119858). The center "greeting" piece was created with 3 other punches: Decorative Layer Punch (#120907), Curly Label punch: (#119851), and 3/4 in. Circle punch: (#119873)

This is certainly a fun project for those who love using punches! The punched bits are Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. The layered flower is attached with an Pumpkin orange large Rhinestone brad! The word "Boo!" is stamped with the Tiny Tags Stamp Set (#118592)!

The KitKat bars are covered with matching paper from the Well Worn Designer Series Paper collection and tied shut at both ends with black grosgrain ribbon. One of the covered KitKat bars is inside the package and one is shown outside along with the uncovered one for display purposes.

The project I shared with you today would make a great gift for someone in the office or a co-worker on Halloween! Another great idea to make a co-worker happy is to fill a coffee mug with goodies and decorate it, such as the example here!

Card for a fall wedding!

I love fall colors, and here is a card featuring two lovely leaves with a rustic fall style! This time of year is perfect for using shades of brown!

I used the beautiful French Foliage Stampin' Up! stamp set ($24.95, #120845) in this card... specifically the leaf and the splatter. I wanted to put two leaves tied with linen to represent two hearts and marriage. I think it turned out nice!

How I made this card:

First I used the Framed Tulips textured embossing folder ($9.95, #121809) to create the outline pattern on the Early Espresso paper. The Stampin' Up! Well Worn Designer Series paper ($13.50, #122359) is a perfect match with its shades of brown! So I put a strip of the square pattern from that paper set at the bottom. The layering was made with Sahara Sand, River Rock and Confetti white papers. I distressed the edges of the cardstocks and I used the Cutter Kit ($23.95, #106958) and added faux stitching with the Mat Pack ($24.95, #105826)!

I also used the Creative Elements stamp set (the frame with flourishes on both ends. The word "Love" is from the Butterfly Prints stamp set! I simply inked the word Love with my Early Espresso marker.

I used the Crumb Cake seam binding (which I also used on the card featured in my previous post. I love seam binding! It is so easy to work with! The lovely decorative brad is from the Antique Brads collection.

After I created the layering, I stamped two leaves. One in Cajun Craze and the other in Cherry Cobbler. I added a bit of More Mustard ink to them by rubbing them against the More Mustard ink pad. I cut the leaves out. They are adhered to the card with dimensionals. 

I layered the entire design on a piece of Cherry Cobbler paper and then onto my cardfront! I think a bride and groom getting married at this time of year would love a card like this!
